Tessa Campbell

For most of her musical upbringing in Grahamstown, Tessa Campbell, who joined the first violin section in October 2022, was mentored by Juan Munoz (violin) and Mariel Ilusorio (piano). She went on to study with Farida Bacharova at the SA College of Music at UCT, where she graduated with distinction in performance and chamber music in 2019. Tessa has participated in several music courses and orchestras including the Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival, South African National Youth Orchestra, and MIAGI Youth Orchestra. She has performed concertos with the UCTSO and the Cape Town Philharmonic. She also received masterclasses in Lucca, Italy at Virtuoso & Belcanto festival from Maria Solozobova, and in Stellenbosch from Alissa Margulis and Madeline Adkins.
