The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra is a leader in the South African music scene. It is a registered not-for-profit organization (050-787-NPO) which relies on the generosity of individuals and corporations to augment no national and limited local government support and ticket sales to continue its outstanding performance, community reach and transformational and innovative education programmes. Supporting the CPO will help maintain the oldest orchestra in Africa, founded as the Cape Town Municipal Orchestra in 1914.  Your generosity will help continue the tradition of bringing world-class orchestral music to as many people as possible while making the orchestra accessible to audience and offering performance opportunities to a wider range of international and community musicians and continuing to ensure Cape Town’s status an international cultural city.

Assist the CPO in fulfilling its mission to transform the lives of young people in formerly disadvantaged communities, train musicians for the demographically representative orchestra of the future, take music to new audiences, communities, give a platform to new artists and continue to present the foremost national and international artists to audiences.
