CAPE TOWN PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA

The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra is a dynamic, multi-functional, full-time professional orchestra, continuing a fine tradition of over a century of orchestral music in Cape Town. In addition to its diverse concert repertoire, the orchestra also performs for operas, ballets and musicals; engages in tours and recordings; and is the driving-force behind a variety of youth development and education projects.

 

The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra invites applications from suitably qualified musicians for the position of:

 

Sub-principal 1st Violin

Tutti 2nd Violin (two positions) 

 

These are full-time (100%) positions. Musicians may be required to participate in the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra’s various education and youth development initiatives.

Candidates must prepare all three sections – solo, principal and sub principal and orchestra excerpts.
